Georgia Nurses Association Legislative Day
The Georgia Nurses Association (GNA) thanks everyone who attended our 2011 Legislative Day Event on Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the State Capitol in downtown Atlanta.
On Lobby day, GANS collaborates with GNA to meet with legislators concerning nursing platforms established by GNA.

Political Involvement Award
The Political Involvement Award is granted each year to the chapter which demonstrates advocacy and influences the political and legislative process. This year’s recipient was SANS, the chapter at MCG SONAT. They used letter writing and lobbying to advocate for nursing schools to stay open despite budget cuts.
