With the holiday season being right at our door, Amazon has a great fundraising sponsorship program for non-profit organizations.
It is called:smile.amazon.com
This holiday season while you are doing your online Christmas shopping please keep us in mind. Amazon Smile is the same site as amazon but it is specifically designed and setup for organization sponsorship. By going to smile.amazon.com you have the option of choosing which non-profit organization you would like Amazon to give a percentage of the sales they make from your purchases directly to that organization.
All you have to do is:
1. visit smile.amazon.com
2. search for "Georgia Association of Nursing Students"
3. select the "Georgia Association of Nursing Students" as your non-profit organization and BOOM! Amazon automatically will donate a percentage of their profits in each sale that you make with them. It does NOT change or increase the price for you as the shopper and it DOES still give you full range on all of your usual specials/deals/discounts.
This is a marvelous way that you can help during your holiday shopping season! Please tell a friend, classmate, family member and continue to increase the number of people this holiday season that helps us with this endeavor by using Amazon Smile.
Letter From The President
The Georgia Association of Nursing Students (GANS) is a pre-professional organization that aims to support pre-nursing and nursing students throughout the state as they work towards becoming a Registered Nurse.
As a constituent of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA), GANS is committed to aiding in the personal and professional development of future nurses through education and leadership promotion.
Through various efforts, GANS provides a resource for students to join together and participate in activities involving community health, legislation efforts, and improving the image of nursing.
If you would like to participate in GANS, I encourage you to join us for one of our monthly meetings and participate in both GANS activities including the Council of Student Leaders (COSL) held in May or the Annual Convention held in October.
I would also strongly encourage you to seize an opportunity to be a member of the GANS Board of Directors. The entire board is elected at the Annual Convention in October and serve for one year. It's an amazing opportunity to grow as a future nurse and a leader.
For more information on any of the items listed below, continue to browse through the website or feel free to contact any of the board members if you have additional questions
