Council of Student Leaders (COSL) 2010

What is COSL?

COSL stands for Council of Student Leaders.  It is a retreat that was developed by GANS to give nursing students who have demonstrated leadership abilities a unique opportunity to enhance their leadership skills.  The retreat includes structured meetings with current GANS board members, teambuilding exercises, and a special lecture by a leader in the nursing field. By participating in this retreat, leaders will improve their leadership skills; thus advancing their respective school nursing organization. GANS sponsors two leaders from each school to attend COSL.

Over 40 fleece blankets were created by Georgia nursing student leaders at the Council of Student Leaders retreat held this May.

These blankets will be donated to Convenant House, a national organization dedicated to serving homeless youth. Convenant House has a local chapter in Atlanta, GA.
