Council of Student Leaders (COSL)
What is COSL?
The Council of Student Leaders (COSL) is an annual retreat developed by GANS to promote the growth of new and established student nursing association boards, as well as schools reviving or chartering their very first school chapter.
The GANS Board provides unique breakout sessions that focus on guiding each individual board member’s position. This maximizes individual member’s confidence and sense of purpose with their position.
The retreat includes team building exercises, inspirational guest speakers, and the opportunity to network and make friends with other students. Through participating in COSL, students improve their leadership skills; thus increasing the overall cohesiveness of their respective school nursing organization.
Who’s Invited?
This weekend leadership retreat is for all officers, directors and advisers in your student nursing association board. If your school does not have a student nursing association and are interested in starting one, we strongly encourage you to send leaders to learn more about how student nursing associations can benefit your school.
